On Tuesday we were invited to a private screening of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul by Joules. We said a massive yes to that invite, it was half term, there were lots of my favourite blogger mates going and C is a huge fan of the Wimpy Kid books, we would have been crazy not to!
Joules are running a fab competition at the moment to win a holiday to Northern France, for two adults and two kids (up to the age of 12) with return flights from London to Paris, six days car hire, five nights accommodation in a luxury treehouse, breakfast, half day electric bike hire AND a suitcase of Joules clothing worth £2000!! I mean, why wouldn’t you enter! For your chance, visit the Joules website here and fill in your details. It closes on the 4th June so be quick!
I am lusting after everything on the Joules website right now, it all just feels so summery, and I have my eye on a few things which would be perfect for Camp Bestival and our holiday to France in August. Who else flipping love, love, loves, the way Joules can pair striped tops with pattered shorts? The clashing prints just work like a dream. For someone who never normally wears prints, Joules have me converted!
Carys Pop Over Tunic £59.95
Robyn Shorts £49.95
Leather two band Sandals £49.95
Cowes Sunglasses £69.95
Cassidy Safari Jacket £79.95
I don’t know about you, but I tend to *not* wear shorts in the UK. Usually because A: my legs are so pale (really need to invest in some fake tan for pale people) B: it’s never quite warm enough and C: my legs are so pale. I said it twice because they truly are *that* pale. But when I’m on holiday? Oh the legs are out ALL day every day. I love these Robyn shorts, the material and the fact that they have an elasticated waist. Because, French food.
The long sleeved tunic top is a dream summer top. Throw it on with a pair of skinnies, some sandals and you’re done. Exactly the kind of dressing I like! I’m also loving the short sleeved shirt, I’d wear it over a vest as my take on a kimono style jacket, which is (I’m hoping) all I’ll need in the evenings, but it would also work for me, Mrs Pale Skin, as a shoulder cover up during the day! And need I even explain the leopard print sandals! Hello, have you met me!?
Throw in a khaki jacket, some sunglasses and a massive bag (although I’m debating a sequinned bum bag for Camp Bestival, thoughts on this?) and I am good to go. I just need a couple of t-shirt dresses and that is me pretty much set for the summer! I am determined to avoid trousers this year!
So, a massive thank you to Joules and Fox HQ for having us rowdy lot, plus a whole host of other bloggers and all our kids! The film was right up C’s street, lots of giggling going on around the cinema, which, by the way, felt VERY fancy and it was lovely to catch up with some of my gorgeous #UKMumSquad lot!
