Did I mention I love Christmas? I did? Good! Because guess what? This is another Christmas post! Winterville London is coming to Clapham Common this year and, obviously, we’re going!
Launching on the 23rd November and running all the way through until the 1st of January 2018 this is set to be London’s alternative festive experience!
The lovely people of Winterville took a year off, but they’re back, and they’re better than ever! Featuring a whole host of free and ticketed entertainment for the entire family plus music, shopping, food & drink, there will be something for everyone. Even those of you who aren’t as into Christmas as I am. Weirdos.
There’s the chance to see Christmas classics in the Backyard Cinema’s Winter Night Garden – watching Christmas films wrapped up in blankets under the stars, if that’s not on your bucket list then quite frankly, we can’t be friends, and what sort of person even are you!?
You can play Plonk Golf, have a skate on Clapham Common’s first ever ice rink, or, if you’re more a four wheel person, you’ll love the Twisted Wheels Roller Disco. There’s even a Wasted Chic Christmas Market for all those pressies with a difference.
I told you you’d love it didn’t I?
Among the attractions for kids, there is a live adaptation of Mimi the Snow Dragon by Michael Morpurgo (my youngest is a huge fan of his books) a chance to have a family rave up with Big Fish Little Fish, the classic fairground, and, of course, Santa’s Workshop.
The selection of street food looks amazing, as always, plus, there’s a wooden lodge looking out across the Town Square, serving craft beer, Christmas cocktails and, of course, mulled wine.
With live music, guest DJs and other entertainment, it has an outdoor heated terrace and a mezzanine area with its own bar that you can hire out as a group if you fancy a Christmas party with a difference.
There are also loads of other food and drink options dotted around the site near most attractions so you will be able to grab something to eat or drink whenever the mood takes you!
