LD // Money Saving With Amazon Prime Day 2018

Who doesn’t love a bargain? I do! Especially if it’s something I really want, and would have bought at full price anyway. Then it kind of feels like you’ve really struck lucky, like you were destined to buy it.

And that removes all the shoppers remorse. Uh huh! Spending the cash without any of the guilt. That works for me.

So, if you’re anything like me, you’re going to LOVE Amazon Prime Day. The one stop destination for almost everything you could ever need, which, can you believe, turns 23 this year!?

Wow Amazon, when did you get so grown up?

The dates haven’t been announced yet, but it’s thought to be around the 9th July, and it’s a 30 hour flash sale for those of us who are proud owners of Amazon Prime. Yes, yes I am. Next day delivery is my favourite thing ever, and, same day delivery is just a flipping dream! It still blows my mind every time an item rocks up at my door less than 8 hours after I’ve ordered it online.

You clever, clever beast!

Amazon Prime Day is a bit like Black Friday without the queues. Or fights. Or people. So, you know, a million times better!

Amazon Prime Day deals generally fall into two categories, those that last all day, and lightening deals, which are activated at a certain time and last until that product has run out. You need to be on the ball though, once it’s gone, it’s gone and they have released things every five minutes in previous years, so it’s literally fastest finger first! Plus, you don’t want crappy wifi or signal to make you lose out on that gadget or treat that you’ve been poised over for the last however long.

I literally love shopping with all of my heart (all four of us do in this house, I’m not going to take all the spending blame here!) we all have a wish list of things we want. Whether they’re cash investments (Dyson Hairdryer for moi) or “oooh that looks good, remind me to get that next time we’re out” (bamboo socks for him) I think it’s a good idea to write down all the things you want to buy. You wouldn’t believe the amount of things I forget I want – and yes, I am aware this probably means I don’t really want it but it also, more likely, means, I have a really bad memory and too many things fighting for attention in my head.

That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

Thank me later for the bargain hunting.
