Moroccan Vibes with Wayfair and Emporio Arts

Our home is a such an eclectic mix of styles. Years ago I was the type of person who would do ‘matching’ and I would do it very well. Which was fine at the time, but it’s not me and certainly not us!

We’re not plain people. We’re a little bit crazy and a lot colourful, all four of us, but particularly the husband and I. We’re both quite artistic people (I think anyway!) and that comes across in our home and interior styles.

One style that has been slowly creeping into our house lately has been Moroccan/Bohemian. It started in the garden, which seemed the most natural place for me, with lanterns, hanging decorations and glossy, bright coloured plant pots, but it has slowly moved across to the living room, with this table lamp from Wayfair & Emporio Arts being the newest addition. The copper colour sits so well with the grey walls and neon accessories, but it has such a soothing effect when it’s lit in the evening.

If you’re not a fan of colour or clashing, you can pull the theme into your home with something as simple, but incredibly stylish as a Moroccan table lamp, which will cast some amazing shadows across your room, giving off the perfect vibe. Weirdly, I have no hanging lights in the downstairs space, so table and floor lamps are how we create the right, chill out, lighting in the evening. The glow this table lamp gives is so beautiful & intricate but at the same time, simple. It’s just at home during the day, unlit, as it is in the evening.

Wayfair have a huge collection of Emporio Art lighting, from pendant lights to floor lamps and they’re all as beautiful as each other. I am tempted to get a pendant light for the hallway, as I love the look the patterns give off.

For me, the best part about everything clashing is that you can place a few items around the home and they just tie in with the overall theme, without needing to replace everything! So you can really showcase your own personal style. If you can’t show off at home, then when can you!?

Some favourites from Wayfair and how they can work in the home

If we had the kind of heat we had last week, all the time, I would be in my garden every single day, and the Moroccan vibe is perfect! The rich colours & fabrics against a garden backdrop, just makes you want to relax doesn’t it? Plus, a hammock would be an essential!

Of course, we would need summer to last longer than a week for that to work all the time. Or, we could just move somewhere hot!

Moroccan1: Hammock, £118.99 // Lantern, £28.99 // Outdoor Rug, £54.99 // Lights, £91.99 // Pouffe, £45.99 Pot Set, £32.99 // Picnic Tray, £16.99.

The kitchen is another room where it’s easy to slip a few Moroccan pieces in without needing to change everything. Because it’s such a mix and match look, it works better when things clash & colours are mixed. It’s the perfect look for someone who doesn’t want white everything! I’m seriously lusting after the tile wallpaper and the plate set…!

Globe Pendant, £189.99 // Tagine, £21.99 // Reclaimed Tiles Wallpaper, £42.99 // Tumblers, £17.99 Dinner Set, £110.99.

It’s such an easy look to incorporate in any room in your home, and because of the patterns, colour, materials, it gives off a really luxurious but calming vibe, which is exactly what you want when it comes to summer living.

It is! It’s so easy to stick with bright, spotlights but they don’t create atmosphere or mood. x
