The Perfume Edit // Christmas Gift Ideas

Love the Sales Perfume Edit

It might only be November, but it’s also already November so that means it’s totally OK to start planning Christmas presents and making those lists of who loves what and where to buy them.

In my last Christmas related post, I mentioned that I was going to try and do most of my shopping online this year, purely because it saves so much time, and, as I’m home to greet the postman and delivery drivers, I think, why not!

Online shopping can also save you a whole heap of cash, which, when you have kids to buy for, is a massive bonus. Love The Sales is a new one to me, but by Jove I think I love it!

Buying perfume can be quite a personal experience, you need to know the person you’re buying for really well, or, they need to have given you strict instructions on what they want, there’s no point spending loads of money on a floral scent when they only wear rich, spicy perfume. Know your lady!

For me, it all depends on how I’m feeling that day, what I’m wearing, what I want to do. Perfume can bring back memories in an instant, and, they can make new ones just as fast.

Dolce & Gabbana // The One Gift Set

Starting with a popular one, it’s floral with an oriental element. Containing Bergamot, Peach, Mandarin Orange and Lychee top notes with Lily, Plum, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley heart notes and Vanilla, Sandalwood, Musk and Amber base notes. £42.95.

Paco Rabanne // Lady Million Prive

I love this perfume. Mr T bought me a bottle last year and it was gone within a couple of months, that’s how much I loved it. It’s a fruity, oriental scent. It’s described as an intense floral heart, lifted by raspberry, with the addition of cocoa bean and honey-patchouli. A seriously sexy perfume. £39.95

Creed // Love In Black

Olivier Creed and his son, Erwin, present a fragrance with top notes of violet, jasmine and cedar. A heart adds iris, cloves and musk, with a base of blackcurrant. Even the bottle is made with black sand. This edition is completed by a bow ribbon on neck of the bottle. This is a little more expensive than some, but worth it! £148.45

Tom Ford // Noir

Can Tom Ford ever do any wrong? Perfume, aftershave, everything smells incredible. This is on my list, along with Jasmin Rouge, purely because it smells like heaven. It’s a floral, oriental fragrance that is sensual, sexy and extravagant. If you can’t wear that at Christmas (and all year round if you’re like me) then when can you?! £105.95

Juliette Has A Gun // Lady Vengeance

Suave, luxurious and deeply sensual, Lady Vengeance by Juliette Has a Gun opens with bergamot and lavender. A floral heart with Bulgarian and Moroccan roses around patchouli and geranium. With a base rich in musk, vanilla and ambroxan. If you wear this one, people will want to sniff you. Be prepared! £81.95

Tom Ford // Jasmin Rouge

Voluptuous. Sensuous. Audacious (a bit like me) –  Jasmin Rouge is a saturated, spiced floral. With a blend of sambac jasmine sepals absolute, an ingredient never used before in perfume, with dusky clary sage and rich spices. Jasmin Rouge is to perfume what red lips is to glamour. It is pure hedonistic glamour. Top of my list. £132.95
